Usually, when I say something is ‘just a quick sketch’, eh, I’m probably lying (mostly because I don’t know how to let anything well enough alone. That’s why I’m on my books 5th rewrite =P)
This, however, was literally just a quick go, I did not let myself knitpick over it. Which is probably something i need to remember with digital art. I’ve just not been doing it long enough to be at knitpicking level. Anyway, this, yes.
Because I’m obsessed.
Because I’m in love with a cartoon character.
Because when I finally learned how old he was, my first thought was ‘Excellent, this means he’s legal.’
I have zero regrets.
Asha Grejoy did not intend to be taken alive. She would die as she lived, with an axe in her hand and a laugh upon her lips.
So! A friend suggested that I blur the colours to make them softer and the first picture is what came of it (the second is the original)
(now, granted, digital painting is a lot of me spinning around mumbling under my breath and screaming at my computer when things go wrong so i’m sure that there is a better way to do this but WHATEVER. learning process and whatnot, i’ve taught myself literally everything thus far… )
i like the effect, but i’m really attached to how the original looks right now. BUT THAT’S OK BECAUSE NOW THAT I KNOW HOW TO DO THIS I WILL USE IT EVERYWHERE. UNTIL EVERYONE IS SICK OF IT :D
so, thoughts? which is better?
I think I need to stop…
flat colouring this time because why not :)
*spins away into the sunset*
Hopped right up on that bandwagon, yes I did. Seriously guys, his eyebrows. I can’t.
the lack of a reference was rather crippling (haha oh god proportions how do) but whatever i still adore this piece because there’s FIRE IN HIS HAIR.
Don’t mind me… i have time to kill before class.
